Fierce Hurricane Florence took her time crawling through the Sandhills blowing down trees and limbs last weekend.  The Village of Pinehurst is warning residents to beware of workers charging for storm debris removal.

The village announced on social media Friday of reports of trucks travelling through neighborhoods charging residents to remove storm debris from the right of way.

“If your excess storm debris is in the right of way, you don’t need to pay for it to be removed,” said the Village of Pinehurst in a written statement.  “Village staff will pick it up for free.”
