Counterfeit bills are currently circulating in Moore County.

Aberdeen Police Department issued a warning on Facebook Tuesday saying the fake bills have been passed around for several weeks.

“The counterfeit bills are marked “motion picture use purposes”, and please be aware of these bills being circulated in the area,” said the department.

Hoke County Sheriff’s Office arrested Nicholas George-Grady Frahm, of Raeford, for passing the bills in Aberdeen.

The police did not state the denomination of the bills.

Nicholas Frahm was giving a $1,500.00 secure bond after he was arrested for passing counterfeit money in Aberdeen.
