Vass man arrested on 14 charges after drug investigation

A Vass man is facing 14 charges after a drug investigation conducted by Moore County Sheriff’s Department.

Robert Goodhart, 35, was placed at the Moore County Detention Center under a $50,000 secured bond after being arrested after a search of his home on Wednesday.

“On October 27th, 2021, Deputies with the Moore County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant in the 100 block of Riverview Drive in Vass,” said Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields. “During the search, Deputies located Cocaine, Methamphetamine, Psilocybin-(mushrooms), prescription pills, Hashish, Marijuana, items of drug paraphernalia, and $650.00 in currency. The executed search warrant was the conclusion of a drug investigation.”

The suspect was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, possession with intent to sell and deliver schedule II controlled substance-(methamphetamine), possession with intent to sell and deliver schedule II controlled substance-(cocaine), possession with intent to sell and deliver schedule II controlled substance-(Adderall), possession with intent to sell and deliver schedule I controlled substance-(psilocybin mushrooms), felony possession of marijuana, felony possession of cocaine, possession of methamphetamine, felony possession of schedule II controlled substance-(Adderall), felony possession of schedule I controlled substance-(psilocybin mushrooms), maintain vehicle/dwell/place-controlled substance, simple possession of schedule VI controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana paraphernalia. 

Goodhart is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday and is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
