A solo bicyclist lost control on Linden Road around 1:45 this afternoon.
A witness reported that the man riding the bike started to lose control on the wet roadway. The bike slid, and the man fell, landing on the roadway. She rushed to check on the man while another bystander called 911.
The bicyclist was transported to a local hospital for non-threatening injuries.
Linden Road was closed for a short period of time as first responders treated and then transported the victim to the hospital.
Pinehurst Police and Fire Department responded along with Moore County EMS.
