A solo bicyclist lost control on Linden Road in Pinehurst around 1:45 p.m. Saturday and was taken to the hospital.

A witness reported that the man on the bike began to lose control on the wet road. The bike slid, and the man fell, landing on the road. The witness rushed to check on the man while another bystander called 911.

The bicyclist was transported to the local hospital for non-threatening injuries.

Linden Road was closed for a short period as first responders treated the patient and then transported them to the hospital.

Pinehurst Police and the fire department responded along with Moore County EMS.
