Driver escapes uninjured after crashing into a tree in Seven Lakes

The driver of a Nissan escaped injury on Friday night after crashing into a tree in Seven Lakes West.

The collision happened on Longleaf Drive at the Fawnwood Drive intersection shortly after 9 p.m. Authorities on the scene said the driver came around a sharp curve, lost control, and hit the tree.

The road was reduced to one lane of travel while crews were on the scene.

Seven Lakes Fire & Rescue, Moore County Sheriff’s Department, and N.C. State Highway Patrol responded to the scene.
