Obituary for Peter T. Wyckoff

Peter T. Wyckoff, 93, of Moore County, North Carolina, passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 27, 2021.

Peter is survived by his beloved daughters Nancy Case (née Wyckoff) and Mary Lou Wyckoff; his grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Alex and Maggie Case; and his many friends from Beacon Ridge Country Club and the Sandhills Central Railroad Club.

Peter was born on November 30, 1927 in Tennessee to Alexander and Evelyn Wyckoff. Growing up around the world, he spent time in France and New York, to name a few. He graduated from the University of Southern California and settled (for a moment at least) in the New Jersey suburbs of New York City. There, in September 1948, he married his lifelong love, Mary Wyckoff (née Jannuzzo). They had two children, Nancy and Mary Lou.

Peter did everything in his life with passion and excellence. Whether it was traveling to Europe and Asia with Mary Lou, founding and running several music businesses with Nancy, or playing golf and attending school functions with Alex, he flung himself into every adventure and loved every minute of it. Everyone he encountered could never mistake, or forget, his charisma, charm, and devotion.

Later in life, when he retired at 85, he enjoyed his gardening, golfing, and model trains. He loved to stay active in those communities including serving as the secretary of the Beacon Ridge Men’s Golf Association and volunteering with the Sandhills Central Railroad Club.
