William “Scott” Polston was born on August 30, 1962, in Pinehurst, North Carolina.
Scott died peacefully on October 26, 2023, at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, surrounded by his family.
Scott graduated from Pinecrest High School in Pinehurst, North Carolina, and furthered his education at Sandhills Community College, obtaining diplomas in accounting and business administration.
Scott was an avid fan of every sport and began collecting sports memorabilia at a very young age.
Scott is survived by his parents, Anna and Bill Polston of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, sister Anita Mende and Steve Gerken of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and nephews, Alex Mende of Columbia, South Carolina, and Jason Mende of Denver, Colorado.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 4, 2023 at 11:00 am at Boles Funeral Home, Southern Pines. The family will receive friends following the service. A private burial will follow at Bethesda Cemetery.
