The Robbins Police Department released reports detailing arrests and citations for September. Charges range from impaired driving and outstanding warrants to carrying a concealed gun and communicating threats.
Week 1
Garry Luke – (checking station): Charged with DWI, open container, and driving while license suspended for DWI.
Rajiv Appdu – (traffic stop): Appdu was given a citation for speeding and was arrested for a warrant in Guilford County. The warrant was for hit-and-run, reckless driving, an expired registration card and a fake license plate.
Week 2
Mitchel Goins – (traffic stop): Goins was a passenger during the stop and was known by officers to have warrants for two counts of probation violations in Moore County.
Donna Cockman – (traffic stop): During the traffic stop for a rear lamp violation, she was acting nervously, according to Chief Ben Haddock. During a conversation with Cockman, she confessed to having a concealed gun. They charged her with carrying a concealed gun.
Jessica Chriscoe was apprehended on two outstanding Moore County warrants.
Week 3
Erick Kennedy – (checking station): Charged with driving while license suspended, possession of marijuana up to 1/2 oz., and marijuana paraphernalia.
Week 4
Durnell Hinton – (traffic stop): Order for arrest for communicating threats.
Michael Ward Jr. – (traffic stop): Ward Jr. was issued a warning for speeding but was arrested for a failure-to-appear warrant.
Jose Carnello-Sanchez – Vass checking station event: Carnello-Sanchez allegedly failed to stop until officers knocked on the moving vehicle. Haddock said officers administered a roadside test because he appeared to be intoxicated, and then charged him with DWI, open container, and no license.
Rolondo Perez – Vass checking station event: Citation for simple possession of Schedule VI and possession of marijuana paraphernalia.
Timmy Barns – (traffic stop): Barns was pulled over for a fake tag and a suspended license, according to Haddock. Barns consented to a vehicle search and was charged with driving while license revoked, possession of drug paraphernalia, a fake tag, and no liability insurance.
In September, the Robbins Police Department saw fewer charges than in August. Of the 11 arrests, only three were residents of Robbins. As the holidays get closer, Haddock issued a statement. “During the holidays, it’s important to remember to lock your car doors and not leave valuable items and firearms in the vehicle.”
Defendants facing criminal charges are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
